What will you do for me?

Arcalian provides business consultancy services with a particular speciality in Social Workers. Working through a Limited Company as a locum social worker means you get to put more of your earnings in your pocket, rather than using agencies or umbrella companies.

VAT calculations and submissions

Cashflow forecasts including provision for corporation tax, VAT, accountancy fees etc

How long do you work with us?

As little or as long as you need us, though we hope that our partnership will be a long and happy one. We have a mutual 30 days’ notice period plus the remaining days of the current month. In effect, this means that in the event of termination, we finish the current month and the one after, after which Arcalian will provide Xero access and any other information that is private to your company.

What don't you do?

- Complex Accountancy – unlikely to be necessary for social work, but if required we can recommend accountants with whom we work on other projects, or we are more than happy to work with your nominated company/individual. By engaging our services you are removing the need for the accountant to do much of this work at a much higher fee, so we offer a considerable saving.
- Legal advice – we’re not lawyers, so our advice, though always in your best interests, should be checked with a legal professional
- Paper storage – we work as paper-free as we can, so our prime method of communication is by email and other electronic submission. Business paperwork should, however, be kept by you for seven years, in case of inspection by either the tax or VAT people. We will occasionally need scanned copies of documents.
- “Our name over the door” – we are not directors, shareholders or officers of your company, so responsibility for accuracy remains with you. We will work diligently to ensure your business remains profitable and secure, but we urge you to take a keen interest in the “behind the scenes” work that we do. Two heads are better than one.
