End of an era
Arcalian accidentally became involved in consultancy in the early 2010s when we were asked if our "back room" could handle some administrative functions for a local start-up. This led to formal consultancy, and being an accountancy service provider for twenty companies - some fleetingly, just for early advice, some for over a decade with Arcalian being a trusted business partner.
However, the increasingly onerous HMRC requirements on such "64/8" companies as ourselves, plus the increasing costs from Companies House, personal indemnity insurance, ICO registration etc has made it unviable to continue with such a small client base.
